Gracie Trotter Racing made her Super Late Model debut Saturday night and brought home a solid eighth place finish in the BSR JBL Toyota Racing No. 55 Camry. Trotter, who has been racing Go-Karts in the Rotax Max Challenge Series and Bandoleros in the INEX Series, finished the 150-lap Cars Tour event on the lead lap and gained valuable experience.
Due to rain, qualifying was rained out and Trotter started outside the top ten. She held steady around the 12th position for the first half of the race before a big wreck occurred on lap 100. Trotter received some minor headlight damage as a result of the incident, however on the restart she worked her way into the top ten and eventually up to eighth, where she finished.
“I am really proud of the job Gracie did this weekend,” said Bond Suss. “To bring home a top-ten finish and finish on the lead lap in your first race is something to be proud of. It was a great first race with Gracie.”
